I know most people are more familiar with his older brothers, the Bee Gees. But any appreciation for the underrated and talented solo Gibb ?

Not a fan, but I remember around 1982 when Cream magazine use to run photos with gag cutlines (i.e., captions) beneath them. So they run a photo of Andy Gibb and his then lady love, Victoria Principal, in a paparazzi shot coming out of a restaurant with the cutline "You'd look smug too if you just ate what Andy did!"

I live in South Florida where the Bee Gees and Andy occasionally lived . It was very sad to watch his demise. While not a fan, no one can deny his/ their talent.

He was good pop.

I remember those photos in Creem. My fave was a face shot of Stevie Nicks in front of a mic in the studio with the caption "Stevie Nicks gives good mic". It was priceless.

I don't have much of an opinion on his music, but his story is very sad. By all accounts, a sweet kid who just couldn't handle it all. The first of the Gibbs boys to depart when he was way too young.

brilliant...I was just about to post something akin to that.

He may have evolved into something bigger and better but sadly it all ended a bit early for him to have amassed a real body of work.

many of his songs are allways present in ny car or in my ipod, Flowing Rivers, Desire, Rest your love on me. Great songs.

I live by Forest Lawn Cemetery, the part next to Burbank. I've gone to see Buster Keaton's grave, Stan Laurel, (Batman Creator) Bob Kane, and other famous people. I was looking for someone else on this large mausoleum wall when I came across Andy Gibb. Nothing special for someone so famous, just a name and dates and 'An Everlasting Love' written underneath. So young. So lonely.

I was an anti-fan until I heard 'Time is Time", probably from his last album. I was 16 then, 47 now, and that song still does it for me. So count me in! I wasn't aware that Barry wrote most or all of Andy's songs. Listening to it, this one certainly has Barry's fingerprints all over it.
