It's a fun song for a good singer ...like for example Mick Jagger..

I prefer 'I'm Alright' to 'It's Alright' (the "I'm" lyrics work better imo).

It's impossible to imagine the Taylor line-up performing a song as fun as this! hot smiley

Superb intensity and feel!

Isn´t the instrumental track actually the same on both versions?
The LP/1966 version has new vocals overdubbed on the instrumental EP/1965 version, I think.

In those days the live set seems to have usually finished with this and/or Hey Crawdaddy as the cue for a general rave-up which could be extended for as long as they and the audience felt like it - as seen on the TAMI show and the 1964 NME Poll-Winners concert, and heard on a boot from Paris 1965. It's all about the band getting into that groove and staying there for as long as Mick wants to keep doing his thing and working the crowd, and it sounds like huge fun for all concerned.

vamping, as it was known at the time, right?

i love this thing. the TAMI version is just a shining piece of forever -
the stunning talent ~ the amazing energy ~ the unearthly poise -
that handful of skinny English cats was sent down here to light up this planet just like that
we are blessed ... and i love the Rolling Stones

Do you feel it? Do you? Do you?

No, I don't, now please go away and leave me alone.

It must have been a fun job to type out those lyrics.

Listening to songs like this, makes one understand why it was inevitable that this would
be called The Greatest Rock 'n Roll band in the World.

That's my favourite too, almost a three-way vocal dual between Mick, Brian & Keith (& note the introduction from Charlie!)...

"I'm gonna tell your heart"?
Is it a common expression?

Wasn't the song actually credited to Jagger-Richards (or Nanker-Phelge) at one point?
