The just reminds me...when I watched Mick's recent Grammy performance with a group of people that included my parents and Mick started singing, "I need you you you," but sang it "yo yo yo," my dad said, "What's he saying?" I said, "He's saying `you you you'" And my dad said, "Then why doesn't he SAY `you you you'?"

I didn't have an answer for him.

I am not sure if that applies for a vowel sound but I dig the way Mick pronounces the sound "tion" like in 'satisfaction", "obsession", "expectation" etc...

All that song, and above all, between 2:52 and 2:54

I was tossing and a turning
Like as ship out in the storm
And I could not feel the spirit
There was nothing there at all
And I could not dial the number
And I could not make the call

Dancing in the starlight
Dancing in the strangest forms
And I could not feel the spirit
Was a thousand miles off course

Stumbling in the twilight
There was no one there at all
I was groping in the darkness
Seeing dangers in the port
Tortured into silence
My back against the wall

Dancing in the starlight
Swirling in the walls
Just like Venus on the ocean
The figures on the wall

If you don't take risks
If you don't take a chance
You're bound to fall
Oh yeah sugar
You will surely fall

Crying for salvation
There was nothing there at all
I could not dial the number
And I could not make the call

Dancing in the starlight
The figures on the wall
You will surely fall
Dancing in the starlight
You will surely fall
You will surely fall

I like the dipthongs he invented in the 70s, especially when he dropped some of the consonants in the word as well...

I like the way he can slur "Scarred Old" into "Skydog"... Not sure that's actually through vowel pronounciation though...

Peace,
Mr DJA
