A very poor decision by the UK government in my opinion, given that the business of industrial scale ticket touting as pursued by firms like Seatwave and Viagogo and their like has now reached absurd proportions that quite frankly p***es an awful lot of people off.
I can see this issue "not going away" as it just continues to go from bad to worse, and eventually the government will have its hand forced and be forced to act. Thinking that self regulation and the implementation of "voluntary codes of practice" is going to actually work is naive in the extreme.
