I picked up a crisp and clean vinyl Japan copy of GHS. Very pleased.

I vote for them doing "Hide Your Love" on the next tour - mid set. Couldn't get much better than that.smiling smiley

It sounded pretty good when they gave it a rough workout in 73, it was unearthed for Sweet Summer Sun credits, they've got the guy for it back, so never say never.

This is the weakest track on Ghs.
It needs Keith. Kind of goes nowhere.
Mick doesn't seem to know what to do
with this track.

I like it more today then when it was 1st released.

Would have been fun in a small club. On the stadium stage I'm not so sure...

Hide Your Love would work great if they took it into really hard n heavy blue territory. Imagine it with a driving beat like Back Of My Hand!

This is the weakest track on Ghs.
.......

Either "Hide Your Love" or Silver Train" is the weakest track in the context of GOATS HEAD SOUP in those versions, in my opinion.

Then I for one would especially like to hear live versions of such songs, given the good possibility that another version, and in addition a live version, will heighten the song in question. It would mean more to me than an adequate rendition of a song which I might have heard good live versions of on perhaps several former occasions.

Thanks Matt. I wouldn't say it is the weakest track hotsuff - mind you, personal opinion. Thumping piano, Mick's vocals, Mick Taylor's guitar, it's right up there on my playlistsmiling smiley
