Long or short, I'd like to pay tribute to Jagger's colourist who generally does a great job with his hair colour. Unlike some of the oldies (err Ronnie, Keith, when he bothers, and worst offender Paul McCartney, I'm thinking of you), Mick leaves in sufficient grey touches and doesn't over do the dye to have that plum hue which looks so false and unflattering to old men's skin.

I prefer Mick Jagger to look like a 67 year old man just like Keith does...

It could be a tad bit longer though.

On that hair subject, what do our fine members out here think of kids (mostly under 16) that have long hair? Even kids under 12. What is your first impression when you see such a child, a boy.

I don't like the look at all. I think that shoulder length or below is earned by age. Not by your parents fantasy for trying to make your kid look cool. Once your 16 or older then your on your way to becoming an adult and you can better appreciate what the hippies movement and hairstyles meant back in the day.

That is how I see it.

Depends also on the colour of the hair - Willie Nelson with gray hair looks very old. The skin makes a difference as well, wrinkled skin makes you look older and then the behaviour. Jagger acts young, Nelson acts old and has done that the last many years.

He doesn't look like he works out much either.

I love Mick's hair almost all of the time, he has a great stylist! I did not love the really short look during the Steel Wheels Tour but other than that short span of time, he has always maintained great color, never too dark. For Performance it WAS really dark but that was just for the film.
I don't mind Steven Tyler's look; his hair was better in the 70's and 80's. Now he's got a lot of carmel highlites going on and feathers stuck in for good measure...it's ok, he can pull it off. He did have a face lift but I wouldn't call it botched. I think it makes him look rested.

who bleepin' cares? This is not a hair band. Gibson or Fender? Boogie or Ampeg? MT or RW? Chuck or no ChucK? Tour or no tour? Friends or enemies? Sausage in the pants or not? yikes. peace.

btw it does look like one side of Steve Tyler's nose is about to fall down further, blame Peru.

peace.

My son and I were just commenting on that! I figured it was more the work of a plastic surgeon myself. I'ld have to look at more pictures to be sure but I don't wanna.

I just love that period 1968/68/69.

Guess this shot is from Blind Faith's Hyde Park concert June 1969.
I turned 17 the next month and still I do remember the feeling back then.
e.g. having a similiar shirt or boots and trousers like Mick or Keith
felt so good.
Looking at pics from those days always brings a smile on my face.
So thanks for posting Carnaby.

.. and oh yeah, I like him better with long hair.

Yes it must be. Shortly after the RS Hyde Park concert Mick had much of his hair chopped off for 'Ned Kelly'.
