Never knew that Neil Young met Charlie and Charlie picked up Neil's guitar and played for him! I heard a 30 second clip of one of his songs and it didn't sound bad. He just had to screw up his maybe potential career!

Also, this is the second reference to his (Neil's) song lyric - "It's better to burn out than it is to fade away", I've heard. John Lennon was quoted as saying he did not believe this, thought it was quite alright to just fade away. And as noted here - Cobain quoting it in his suicide note.

Nice post, enjoyed Pete T's excerpt from his book. The stories he tells of Woodstock and Jimi Hendrix at Monterey Pop are fantastic. peace
