Yes, it's interesting, and I do agree with most of your views, SG2.
I think Bianca wanted and expected a marriage of equals, and in the Stones' world, no one is or was an equal. Mick treated her shabbily, from the hour before their marriage ceremony where he forced her to sign a pre-nup to her divorce settlement, where she got a paltry sum. So she retaliated with scenes and tantrums; I read that she ripped up his silk shirts with her teeth.
Jerry was a lot more tolerant and easy-going but even she got fed up, and got screwed financially as well.
I personally thnk L'Wren is the best woman Mick could be with; she has everything he could want in a woman and he has the chance to experience the rise of her career vicariously, which I am sure he misses in his own career. Not a word of drama or scandal has come out about her in the nearly 9 years they have been together, and you don't read about him pursuing other women either.

Fantastic pics on Leith's site. Say what you will about Bianca, I have never seen a pic where she was less than impeccably stylish and immaculately-groomed, unlike Anita, who was naturally beautiful, but in my opinion, had horrible taste, and was frequently unkempt and dirty-looking.

Many see Anita's syle as iconic, but to me, it was no different than most 60s Rock Chick: The funky scarves, gypsey dresses and boots.....Its rock and roll, but not original. Whereas, Bianca was rocking those mannish suits, the fedora hats before it became cool. She wasn't just wearing designer suits, but specifically requesting that Yves St Laurent make her a men's-style cut suit, but with a feminine flair. Its stylish now, Angelina Jolie's white suit etc...But in the early 70s, Bianca was sort of channeling the Katherine Hepburn days in a time of mini-skirts and frilly prints. She looked absolutely modern, more so now. I also think Bianca's own latina style added something funky - the Cuban-style fedoras, gangster-esque suits are very Zoot Suit Latino. In my high school in Houston, in the early 80s, the low rider girls would go all out in their Stacy Adams shoes and slick suits, pocket watch and hats on Fridays....That was a big part of what makes that look so sleek - there was an attitude, a latino attitude.

Btw, what do you think about Keith's comments about Bianca, her lack of humor and this jet-set thing?
This foto is fantastic.

HB, you don't have to convince me of Bianca's beauty. He really should have stayed with her and spared himself the aggravation of all the others!!

I find your comments very interesting - the sort of amateur psycho-analysis (not meant derogatorily) you engage in demonstrates that you have spent quite a bit of time analyzing the information available to you...and your conclusions strike me as very accurate.
I had the opportunity to meet and socialize with Bianca Jagger as I was a frequent visitor to Studio 54 during my college years (late 70's) and even worked there after my University studies for one year as a bartender (enough stories for a book on that one). Ms. Jagger would sometimes come to my bar (Studio had several) and we would talk briefly - we were introduced by Steve Rubell and we spoke Spanish with each other...she was very dignified and glamorous (to be expected) and quite (surprisingly) serious. We had breakfast together a few times (after Studio closed for the night) and discussed life and politics (hers were obviously Leftist) and it seemed incongruous to me that such an obviously formidable woman would spend so much time in such trivial pursuit as the Studio Nightlife and the Rock Circus. She was a perfect Lady and would have fit in perfectly as an Ambassador's wife (or an Ambassador herself!) - such was the air of substance that she exuded - and she seemed somehow (at least in those days...a few years past the real Studio 54 heyday of 1977-78, and after her divorce from Jagger) bored with the scrutiny and tedious drama of being Mrs. Jagger...and relieved (or was it bittersweet regret?) that those times were past.
One last comment...during the years she was married with Jagger she was obviously what one would call a "high-maintenance" Diva and Drama Queen. Jagger is the same. That is a combustible combination making for a passionate and combative relationship...the kind that eventually burns out from accumulated resentments and interminable ego-battles...and both parties' stubbornness at not willing to take the back seat to the other...
...and I never understood how a woman who was seemed so dignified when I met her (not to claim that she was particularly brilliant) could have, a few years prior, sunk to being photographed in the White House in intimate poses with President Ford's idiot son while married to the biggest rock star in the world...that one was a hard one to understand...a shabby, tactless attempt at retribution (?) that only served to diminish and trivialize Bianca in many people's eyes...not the least Mick's...
"...you're a rag trade girl,
you're the Queen of Porn,
you're the easiest lay on the White House lawn.
Get outta my life, go @#$%& my wife, don't come back..."

Too much time....Ha!
but I also wonder if certain Neil Young songs are about Carrie Snodgrass or someone else, or if Tupelo Honey is Janet Planet etc....
or if Dylan is still singing about Sarah.
To me, it makes the music tangible and poignant.
If I believed Jagger when he says that his songs are not personal or about 'one particular thing...' then the music would seem shallow to me, and why Im not a Journey fan.
I'd also love to hear more of you obsersations...

that's a nice photo !!!!!!Quote
