I think it used to be Kensington.

Mick still has a place there and Bill has his restaurant.

Edith Grove is down the road.

Jimmy Page lived in Pangbourne, Berkshire. He now lives near Windsor, Berkshire.

Additionally, another queen lives near Windsor, albeit not in a castle, i.e. Elton John.

Kate Bush also lives on an island in Berkshire

Mick Jagger also had Stargroves near Newbury in Berkshire. It was also used for two of Tom Baker's series of Dr Who - namely Pyramids of Mars and Image of the Fendahl.

Carol Decker of T'pau fame also lives on the Berkshire/Oxfordshire border, near Nettlebed.

I also think one of Boney M lives in Caversham, Reading, Berkshire.

Paulm,

You fell for a wind-up: Jethro Tull, the agrarian farmer, and not messrs Anderson, Barre, etc, hailed from Berkshire. Though Jethro Tull, the rock group, got their name from him.

Ian Anderson hailed from Blackpool, of Scottish parentage, and currently lives in Cirencester, Wiltshire. I think Sting also lives in Wiltshire, as does Peter Gabriel.

Brixton and Wandsworth are two well known areas of London where some famous British musicians have had short and long term residency there. Two buildings in particular in those areas have become tourist attractions with there high Concrete and Rock wall designs where the likes of Mick Jagger and even Ronnie Biggs once resided there.
BTW Micks 50th will be followed by the Ronnie Biggs next year

Lol - I think Wormwood Scrubs in West London might also be worth mentioning though.

I believe Roger Waters lives north of Romsey and the bass player for Dire Straits lived in Beaulieu, both in Hampshire.

In the late 70s Cliff Richard lived in Exbury but whether he bought a house or rented it I don't know.

Back in 2007 when I took one of those open bus tours, not too far from Buckingham Palace, the tour guide pointed out an area that he called the most exclusive area of London, I remember while he was listing all those that lived there, he mentioned that it is the home of Pete Townsend, 2 James Bonds (Moore & Connery) and England's other Queen (Elton John) also has a home there. What area was he talking about? All I remember is that most of the buildings seemed to be all the same color, at least from my view on the bus.

Could be Cheyne Walk, or Richmond.
