"Everybody Getting High"
(Jagger)
Recorded: February and May 2000, January–February and April–June 2001

Everybody getting high
High high high high high high
Everybody getting high
High high high high high high
Here comes the writer
He's got the script right in his hand
Talkin to the actress
While she's checking out the band
Her name is pretty
But not the boils on her face
I feel like running
But there's no hiding place
Everybody getting high
High high high high high high
Everybody getting high
High high high high high high
My dress designers
They want to doll me up in blue
Pretty next fall's collection
They want to show it in the zoo
Everybody getting high
High high high high high high
Everybody getting
Fly fly fly fly fly fly fly
What are you doing here
To all these dogs you're just a bone
Before you throw up honey
Just grab your coat
And kiss your goodbyes
I'm gonna take you take you home
I'm checking out the kung fu actor
Boy is he way up his ass
He won't even talk to me
But he wants to show me
How to dance
Everybody getting high
High high high high high high
And I sit and wonder why
Why why why why why why
Cos everybody wants to
Fly fly fly fly fly fly fly

deep philosophical meaning you mean? ;-)

to others: that was a good try, even the "Comments, input and alterations are very welcome!" part was reproduced to look just like Rene's, but Amused is here and can't be sucked in!

Crap talk is more like it.

One positive thing about this song is that Mick actually had the decency not to put it out on a Stones album.

Awful song by Jagger. Mick should have spent all his time with the Stones and
never ever done that terrible solo stuff.

MAWGJ was a good try, I like it, despite not hearing the bluesy part in it. I think that MAWGJ given to Keith would be a great one.

mick did with "wandering spirit" the best "rolling stones"-album in the last 17 years!!!

Wandering Spirita has equal value to ABB.That`s all.

I am one who doesn't mind the two Jagger solo albums (Wandering Spirit and Goddess), but this track is a complete waste. terrible. It's the "Put me in the Trash" of the Goddess album.

Not a great song for shure but the biggest problem in my opinion is the terrible production of it.
Could have been better, - but played live it wasn't that bad!

This is one of the best songs from "Goddess in the Doorway". It's about as Stonesy as "Biggest Mistake" and could have been a great late-era Stones song. It's one of the rare moments on GITD that reminds me of the much greater "Wandering Spirit" CD.

I totally agree with this statement. But...to me the point of doing a solo album is to go outside of the band's milieu and try something a little different. As such, and taking the disc out of the Stones' context, I think Goddess stands on its own as a listenable and enjoyable set of music. "Everybody Getting High" is kind of a throwaway track (reminds me of "Let's Work" a little bit), but doesn't ruin GITD in my opinion. Goddess is no classic, but as a slab of Adult Contemporary rock, I find it satisfying.

Oh well, just my humble opine..
