Speaking of Charlie's relatives, here's a trivia question.

The Stones havent had a UK Number 1 single since 1969.

However, an uncle of Charlie's (now deceased) HAS had one since then. As part of a duo.

Who was it?

er, no. There was a CAMPAIGN to get it to number 1. I think it got to about 150 places below it.

Remember it well. They got their break on a TV talent show - Opportunity Knocks or New Faces, I think. He was blind and had a great voice. My mother was quite a big fan. His partner sang OK and was rather attractive. As a teenager, I preferred her, for some reason.

Hadn't been aware of the Stones connection.
