The always exellent Record Collector magazine has done itself proud in the June edition:

"As we say in England, it can get a bit trainspottery"

What happened to all these cool shirts Keith wore?
And each time "Rip this Joint" is mentioned Keith says it is the fastest song ever played in the history of the universe.

Picked this up the other day. Being a Stones fan and a vinyl junkie, it was a must have.

there's also, for my money anyway, one of the better Exile reviews on page 79. Rather than just the bog standard Nellcote rehash, it identifies the disparity between the original album and newer? tracks. identifiying that the new songs smack of Jagger, where originial wisdom usually places Exile in the 'Keef camp'

By the by, also a good article on Record Store Day too

Many thanks for the read,Deltics .

Is Pierre Perrone the same music journalist and Stones expert who wrote extensive liner notes that are included in the Rolled Gold ?

I am a Frenchie ,as Mick affectionately called them in the Old Grey Whistle Test in 1977 .

Yes, he states that in the first paragraph.

Many many thanks!thumbs up

Random observations:

Of the forecoming Stones activities, Keith is quite insecure here: he speculates of them not even maybe doing something (substantive a'la new record, tour) but "maybe talking about" doing something. That's quite a long way to actual doings. But what is news to me is the second Wingless Angels album that seems to be his main concern in his record activities now.
