.

Mick was great in his bit part in their spoof of "Lost" that they called "Late."
Playing himself, of course.

okay, thank you - so the series is about people on an island,
but what was the spoof version about?

Instead of trying to get off an island, they're trying to get off the floor of their office building, at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, see. Their elevator crashed earlier.

Years later, Jimmy is in a room with some other trapped NBC staffers. He is handed a walkie-talkie, and he can make out the sound of some stranger's voice from somewhere on the floor...

okay thanks - i had to resort to wikipedia again to find out that
"30 Rock" refers to the address of the GE Building where NBC Studios is located, 30 Rockefeller Plaza
but have some of this popcorn - it's excellent :E

Well done!

Lost fans: was he doing a little Desmond there at the end "mind steppin' back"?

All he needed to add was a "brother"!

it sounds like they used a loop of mick's voice at the beginning before he makes his appearance on screen. i wonder why.

Interesting that Mick affected first a Liverpool accent and then an Irish one.

It was an original vocal track left over from the Nellcotte sessions...

Wow! You mean to say that Mick isn't half Liverpudlian and half Irish? I did not know that...

Jimmy is trying to get himself and his friends off the floor of their building. He hears someone behind a door, and he opens it. Mick Jagger is standing in what appears to be a closet or stairwell. Mick is singing the phrase "Yeah, alright, come on, we can do this" over and over. He explains that he must keep doing this, otherwise the world will come to an end.

What's funny is that there are probably people who believe that that's true.

does the Desmond character on "Lost" frequently say gung-ho rah-rah things like that?
Mick's performance is charming and funny in any case, but maybe that's part of the humour?
[passing more popcorn]
