A good many of the photos shown here are from the book by Mark Hayward," THE ROLLING STONES, ON CAMERA, OFF GUARD 1963-69." I got this great book as a Christmas gift and quite a few of the pictures I've never seen. If someone already mentioned this, sorry, I didn't see that post. It is worth having, for sure. I think that the photos of Brian just before he died at Cotchford Farm are disturbing becauase he looks so bad! Sick, puffy eyes...blotted, not well. These are very old photos and in many, the Stones look like children, so fresh, & unspoiled. They didn't even know how to pose or act in front of the camera and that's what makes the shots so incredible. Check it out!

with_sssoul - is that Warsaw picture yours? I know it has special memories for you, and it's a lovely shot in any case.

Fingers: the one of Charlie with the gorilla-gram is a hoot! Here's a very different shot of Charlie - it's by Jill Furmanovsky and it won the Jane Bown Portrait Award in 1990:
