oh man, if the stones finally got rid of ronnie then those young boys will finally rocket to stardom!! this is the (pete)best thing they can do if they really want to make it in this business.

Thanks, Sohoe! I just saw the News of the World article link posted above - seems this Danish story is a direct translation of the News of the World article. Sometimes hard to keep up with all the threads - I missed the orig post!

I think things will be done so that Ronnie will be on the tour. We just have to be patient and wait for Jagger to give us the details and until I hear it officially on the news I will believe it. Everything is gossip and simply untrue or
uncertain right now, guess we just have to wait for it.

Ah yes, the Drive-By Truckers are heading out on the road doing mainly weekends starting in Huntsville, AL on January 28th after they play three dates at the 40 Watt in Athens, GA.

Don't know the name of the tour but they do have a new record coming out in March.

As Jagger said in CREEM in '77 or so, "Once you've gotten into the tabloids, it's rather hard to get out." That's what's happened with Ronnie. He's become somebody to slap on a sheet of newsprint and help sell copies. The reporter writes what he/she wants to, makes up a link with Jagger, makes up a tour, makes up anything that might make you and I read it. It means nothing.
