Everything is down to him been an alcoholic . He'd still be married to Jo if it wasn't for the drinking. He is slowly destroying himself. WAKE UP RON !

And, can I be the first to say that I hope she is ok and not injured. Noone else seems to have worried about that.

Good point.

I think he needs support from us cause we live their (rolling stones) lives (sorry i don`t want to be pathetic). We cant behave like tabloid eaters. We cannot be hypocrities too.I hope everything will finish fine.

Jagger and Richards were prepared to dump Brian, to whom they owed so much.
Now they should dump this embarrassment of a guitar player called Wood.
They have given us so much and should not allow Wood to destroy their legacy.

there's definitely a fine line, especially if she was a dancer...i had suspected as much. but regardless, it shows she didn't have much going for her (and had poor judgement). men don't have a lot of respect for women in such a place, right? i gotta hand it to ronnie for even giving her a second thought.

it'll take a lot more than this sorry incident to "destroy their legacy"
Brian couldn't play or get into the US
Ronnie can play and he lives in the US part time
Brian was a hard to get along with hothead
Ronnie is an easy going great guy to hang with. He pretty much kept the Stones together during the worst years.

IF he did it then, unless it was self defence, he was in the wrong and deserves to be arrested. It's a bad day for our Ron.

However, if Ron gets his life together, dumps the booze and girlfriend because of this incident then maybe this was a good day for Ron.

Can I just put in my two cents to all those who eyes the opportunity of a Mick Taylor reunion: F*** OFF!!!!
Of course it's total shite from Woody if he beat up The Ek, but let's not start a whole frickin' campaign on all his bad sides. He's a Rolling motherhonkin' Stone. He's SUPPOSED to have bad sides, even though beating up your woman ain't a good thing. It's just not cool to bash his guitar playing from this incident. I mean come on: Brian shined up his girls rather neatly too, and I hear nobody judging his skills as a musician based on that. This whole thing is bad. Of course it is. You don't smack your girl up, and that's the end of it. You just don't do it no matter what. That's a big mistake and I'm very much against that sort of behaviour. Just don't get carried away and start the bloody Taylor-craving and call Woody an embarrasment. He's a great guitar player and you know it. That's why he's in The Stones, (and some people here need to realize that he and Brian fit better than Mick Taylor ever did).

I have been silent on this for a long time, but right now I am asking myself how Ronnie can get a girl younger than his daughters helping him getting himself together and organized like his wife Jo used to do.

BV, I don't think he is able. This may be the incident that tips the boat to capsize. Can he be sectioned as an alcoholic who is a danger to himself & others?

With respect, Kent, thats cliched nonsense. Charlie Watts has been a 'Rolling Stone' for far longer than Ronnie ever has been or ever will be. His 'status' as a 'Stone' hasn't been nullified by not making a public dick of himself on a regular basis. If anything, its helped add to his 'coolness'.

I genuinely hope Ronnie didnt do this, that the girl isnt injured and that he sorts his life out, but the almost weekly embarrassment that this soap opera has become in the last 18 months has got beyond tiresome. Unfortunately the whole episode been heading at full speed for it's inevitable outcome for some time now.

in my vision of (probably never happen i know) of taylor rehearsin' and playin' w the band again always includes Ronnie, rather than replaces him...
appreciate your loyalty. hope ron is loyal to the band and fans and brings his sharpest git game upcoming stones events...as far as the arrest. it's a tabloid nightmare...this was as predictable as their coming lawsuit or next hot affair etc...didn't mick j. have a talk w ronnie about ten years ago, where ron said jagger came to him 'as a friend' about his health, drinking, (and probably, overtly or not, his playing)...and that ron really responded to it, went into rehab etc...i think, some of u know, that ron's position was on the line back then, inside the stones organization...i won't speculate about now...

i suppose he can afford a good lawyer...and continue to be a little self destructive king....it seemed his wife and kids really loved him, really did. what do i know tho...aside from if u smack yer leetle teenage drunken wet dream when you're in your sixties...well, lawyer up and piss off who cares bout trailer trash....even if they inhabit rock mags and shit millions...and thass how drunken selfish lost people behave.

ummm... i'll sound as old as i am to most of u i guess...but to me this is ten commandments stuff...don't be greedy, don't lie, don't cheat, don't covet etc....
he's 'royalty' and the 'love' frm fans and whatever, be more likely to kill him faster than give him some humility sufficient for some kind of quality survival.
i mean it's so stupid you have to make light of it kinda...the talk show guys should mop up with this...but i don't have tv....
ron comes off the @#$%& here, no matter how it went down.

Not sure but they'll have to prove that he's not quite the full ticket so to speak. It sounds to me that until we know all the facts and we may never know them we shouldn't be jumping to any conclusions.
