Stones at MGM Grand Las Vegas, Nov. 11, 2006, on the day Mick Jagger's dad died. Best Stones concert I ever saw.

Personal Stones moments:
All 13 Stones shows I saw, plus 1 New Barbarians, 2 Winos (third row, San Diego '92), and other various solo performances by Bill, Charlie, Mick Taylor and Ronnie (at Six Flags Magic Mountain when he was touring with Bo Diddley). Also, in the press area at the Playboy Jazz Festival with Charlie's daughter Seraphina (does that count?)

Who here wittnessed a unique or special Stones moment, eg. the infamous "shoe incident" on the '78 tour, Altamont, Boston '72? I remember a few years ago I read a post (I believe it was in the Mick Jagger forum) of someone who was in the audience of the Ed Sullivan show when they taped "Let's Spend SOME TIME togehter".

When Mick Keith and Ronnie stopped on the miny stage (in MSG ) to acknowledge my "All the way from Ireland" sign... never forget it

Pretty much anytime these days that Mick and Keith share a mike makes me happy. Or even if they actually acknowledge each other on stage in a natural, unforced way. It just makes me feel good...

Every gig attended, particulary 73 Glasgow, 76 Knebworth, Astoria London and the last ones at the O2. Thnaks Paul.

Besides the kickazz rock shows since 1978 when my big sis first dragged me to a show:

1. Seeing some of the Stones hanging out between acts at Live Aid 1985.
2. Keith Richards wedding in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. whoo hoo!

First concert at Leicester 15 may 1976 - EC joined them on stage (memory a bit hazy now though!)
Roundhay Park 1982 - looking back and seeing 120,000 people behind me...
Glasgow 2006 - Keith's guitar not working on the b-stage during HTW - getting angry, kicking monitors and then just clapping along until replacement arrived...
O2 2nd show 2007 - just so happy to see Midnight Rambler played - and it was great

The last show of the 97-99 tour in Cologne in the driving rain, in my oppinion the last concert before they became a nostalgia act. Keith was on fire, Mick and Charlie were great. Ronnie had real problems getting through the show, he was totally gone. At one point he attacked a camera man in a very furious way, but in the end this concert will remain one of my greatest Stones memories.

I attended the very first concert of The Rolling Stones American Tour 1969, at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado on November 7, 1969. The band flew directly to Fort Collins, why I do not know, it being a city of 18,000 residents and 35,000 students at the time.

The following day they moved on to Los Angeles where they did their 2 show gig at the Los Angeles Forum on Nov. 8th.

Yep Rockee, I was there in flesh and blood. I worked in Cabo on and off for two years and happened into that event. I've got some good stories for another time perhaps. It was a big deal for me but all very low key for most. Some cool folks were there as Keith's guests who rocked my world that night and the next couple of. I took some pictures too maybe I'll share if I can get them off my old disk drive. peace

-giving Keef my guitar pick to play when he dropped his (drunk) during a New Barbarians gig in Pittsburgh 1979. It flew thru the air and landed right in his hand.
-front row for my first 2 RS shows in '78 and '81
-4th row center aisle for Orpheum Theater gig 2002
-seats right behind Aerosmith (yup, they were there as fans, not backstage) for Keef's first night at the Orpheum solo in 1988
-last show of the '89 tour (night after the PPV); first time I saw them in an arena
-mindblowing Philly '99 NS tour show in seats behind the band. totally new perspective on what they do, and Charlie ended TD with what almost amounted to a drum solo for him.
-small arena show in Baltimore 2006 where they really shook up the setlist; last gig before the Super Bowl; last time I'll see them I expect.
-the Ahoy in Rotterdam 2003, smoking fatties on the floor by the runway with all the way cool Netherlanders all around. Nice mini-Exile set.
-the debut of Flip The Switch in Charlotte '97

During Licks:

Stockholm Cirkus-front row/center, standing (mind-boggling)
Vredenburg - 2nd row/center, standing (the BEST show ever)
Astoria -3rd row/center, standing (decent show)
Stockholm Globe Arena - front row...fought for a Keith pic and won!
The Joint-Vegas-16 rows back (not one of the best, but it was my first seeing the Stones in a club/theater gig...very special)

LA Staples Center (free/benefit/Clinton concert): Front row B-stage-Midnight Rambler!

Bigger Bang:

Both Hollywood Bowl shows, 2005...outdoor ampitheater, sitting about 30 rows/center from stage. Both amazing shows.
LA Forum 2005-4th row, a few seats away from Dustin Hoffman...great setlist, and my favorite show of the BB Tour.

1981- LA Coliseum:
First Stones concert, watched Prince get booed off the stage!

And finally, the last Stones show I attended...Nijmegen in 2007.

There's so many, it's hard to narrow them down...

. first time seeing the Stones in November 1981 in Chicago, then seeing Muddy Waters a night or 2 later at the Edgewater Club just over the Illinois/Wisconsin border, thinking that the Stones just might show up. I didn't realize until years later how lucky I was to see Muddy!

. all 3 Chicago shows in September 2002 (United Center, US Cellular Field and Aragon). The Aragon show being the most memorable... Dr. John & Shemekia Copeland opened, Bono appeared on stage

. the first 2 shows of A Bigger Bang in London at the O2 Arena. Standing next to Anita Pallenberg while waiting for the chartered boat taking us to the O2 (yes, she was also on the boat). Seeing Tim Ries with the Rolling Stones Project on 2 of the other nights in London.

. Winning tickets for the opening night of Voodoo Lounge at Soldier Field. What a great surprise to be seated directly next to the B stage!

. Seeing Keith & the Winos at the Aragon in February/March of '93

. Being in the 5th row at Soldier Field in 2004 and watching Keith propose for a fan to a girl in the row behind us. She said yes. Wonder if they're still married?

The list could go on & on.... hopefully, they'll be more memories created in the future!

I saw the unfolding lotus stage (L.A.), which was only in 4 cities: NYC, LA, Chicago, and London. I was at the Anaheim show THE DAY BEFORE the shoe incident. Does that count?

Mine is standing face to face with Keith Richards shaking his hand and thanking him for all of the great music.He smiled and clutched my hand as we spoke briefly. That was in 2006 in the lobby of the Olympic Fairmount hotel in Seattle,WA. One of the greatest moments in my life.

I enjoyed watching Mick have lunch at a Montreal restaurant in the Westin Hotel...April 1998. Sat in a table very close to his, had a blast watching him enjoy pasta, bread, water and wine.He was with a male friend who resembled the tennis pro Jimmy Connors, but it was not Jimmy. We batted eyes at each other, etc....long story, not for here, but anyway, it was a moment.( or more like 45 minutes)
