Don't know why , but wouldn't surprise me if it reappears much more expensive at a later date.

Yeah, still says going out on US Amazon. But I have a question-on the New remastered "Universal" set the label is attributed to "HIP-O Records". Is this a distribution deal?? (see below)

Hip-O Records is a record label, currently part of Universal Music Group, which specializes in reissues and compilations. They are currently in the midst of releasing the Complete Motown Singles, a series of fourteen box sets which include both sides of every 45 from Motown Records and its subsidiaries during that company's Detroit era. Their catalog also includes a number of previously unreleased albums and compilations from the Motown vaults.

I've just been onto Amazon UK and have had to register with them to recieve an email from them when the Super Deluxe edition becomes available.

Maybe they have just delayed the release of the vinyl edition, maybe due to production reasons? but with any luck it will still be released, just at a later date than the other versions, can't see them not wanting all formats out before christmas though, as it seems this is the market they are aiming for.

Ah well, fingers crossed.

Keep on Rockin!!

I actually spoke to Amazon .com last night on the telephone, their call centre is in Philippines apparently.
I ordered the Super Deluxe version for $79.99 ,I wanted to make sure it would be marked as a gift for my son and that the payment would definitely only be taken when the item shipped , the lady said it would be shipped between 2nd and 22nd of December

Is this a play on the now defunct RHINO records? (which also specialized in reissues & compilations)

get it? Hippopotamus & Rhinoceros. Merely a coincidence?

IORR............but I like it!

Maybe this will be a "Best Buys Exclusive"? Hate that store but have bought other Stones stuff there since most record shops have died in Los Angeles.
Last time I was there I had to explain who Bob Dylan was.
