Yes, truly an impressive list. I was surprised to see a band called Turnquist Remedy on the list. I remember going with a couple of friends to see them rehearse in a place called Turnbull Canyon, east of LA in 1969. We knew one of the band members, Scott Harder. They were in a little house in the middle of nowhere. We all just kind of listened and then partied a bit. I don't believe I've heard of them since.

Always loved his (to my ears, at least) Stephen Stills-inspired guitar solo on Bread's "The Guitar Man".

Are you sure Larry played that solo?? Pretty good for a keyboard player...

Yes, that was him. He could play many instruments. "The Guitar Man" always makes me think of Neil, but the solo kinda sounds like Stills.

Johnny Rivers joined the Waddy Wachtel band last night and sang a couple of numbers in tribute to Larry Knechtel....Mountain of Love & Walking Pneumonia.
