I suppose I'd better whisper it, but weren't they on the cover of Saga, the magazine for the over-fifties, a couple of years' back?

I don't know Saga eye rolling smiley and what you're talkin'about?

Until recently, the UK's Saga magazine was considered by many to be the unhippest publication on the planet and definetly NOT the type of reading material that you'd be seen reading in public.

Although it was supposed to be for the over-fifties, in reality it was written for those who were way past that particular milestone in their lives, and contained bland articles of the type that you'd find in a doctor's waiting room. Nothing about Owls, mind.

However, when the Stones were having trouble shifting tickets for their UK Twickenham gigs a few years' back, they offered Saga readers the chance to purchase them at half-price in return for some publicity (i.e. a front cover).

I was wondering if anyone had a copy of said publication.

Not sure it´s norwegian. It says on the cover that it´s a appendix to the "Hemmets Journal" which is a swedish magazine, and still exists: [www.hemmetsjournal.se]
The giveaway here is in the word "hemmets" wich means "home". In norwegian´, and I believe also in danish, it´s spelled "Hjemmets".
However, it´s possible that "Hemmets Journal" was also available in Norway.
By the the way, one more clue that it´s swedish: The word "fick jornalen" means "pocket journal", meaning that it would fit in your pocket. The norwegian word for pocket is i believe "lomme", so if it was norwegian, it could be called "Lomme journalen" smiling smiley
So, the conclusion is, it´s swedish.

Thanks Honestman for blowing that shot up. Now it baffles me even more. Jagger's length of hair suggests 75/76. I thought that was Keith because...well because I thought it was Keith. The jacket looks like that oriental puffed silk that Keith wore in 75. But now I think it might be Ron. Jagger doesn't usually sidle up to Keith like that. On the other hand it does not seem to be @#$%& because already in 75 Jagger used the cordless mike for that one.

I wanted to coment on a pic from Swaystones posting; the one labeled only 'Rolling Stones" atop of the Tiger beat pic. It looks to be from LIB session time. It's remarkable how much Keith and Mick looked alike for a while. Keith is changing clothes (I think) and I thought it was Mick until I saw Mick on the floor.

Also of all the late era pics of Keith I like the covershot of the 'Word' magazine the best. The one with the Lord's Prayer on the cover.

As far as I know, there were no "extras" with this, it's just a magazine.
At least mine is.

I am bumping.
Could it be that the mighty IORR Panel has been stumped? None of us have ever sen or heard anything of that white clad cover shot on the F*CK magazine?
I leaning towards Keith again now, as the other guy in the shot.

I might try to figure out my Scanner and upload some mag covers of my own Honestman. I am out of the Burn Unit, and released from hospital, and at home now; but I will be here for quite a while before allowed to go back; so boredom is on it;s way. a good time to figure out scanners.

Regarding the cover photo of F' Journalen: It must be 1975 or 76. In thwe Leibovitz/Southern book on the 1975 tour there are pictures (and the bill) of his stage clothes on pages 22 and 23. Looks as if it's a combination of second row and third row (always right picture of the row). Keith often wore a white shirt (as I don't really see his trousers)

It's a mixture of reprints of old articles and "photocopies" (for want of a better word) of old articles. Here's a sample page:

Well worth getting if you can find one.
