Fourteen years ago as of today, it remains an unforgetable night to me.

And, welcome to any pics you'd like to share.

Yeah, it was a good night.

But I have to smile at the poster from promoter German tours.
They thank the Stones. Shortly after they were broke!

I have been there. surely it was one of the hottest days that year.after 7 hours I reached "Nowhere". Think, more than 100000 were there. Will never forget it:

under the boardwalk---down by the sea

Yes, I remember too... it was my first Stones show after missing out the 1990 tour. I drove the afternoon before with a friend from Amsterdam to this desolated place :-)
And it was a hot day... here's the setlist:

Not Fade Away,Tumbling Dice, You Got Me Rocking,It's All Over Now, Sparks Will Fly, Satisfaction, Beast Of Burden, Angie, Shine a Light, Like a Rolling Stone, Rock And A Hard Place, Monkey Man, I Go Wild, Miss You, Introductions, Honky Tonk Women, Connection, Slipping Away, Sympathy For The Devil, Street Fighting Man, Start Me Up, It's Only Rock'n'Roll, Brown Sugar, Jumping Jack Flash

A day to remember, indeed. We had a rather short few hours' drive by car down to the place where we spent the afternoon bathing and relaxing by the nearby sandpit lake and went down to the venue itself only by early evening so we actually didn't have to wait too long for the Stones but still made our way smoothly to nearby the mixing tower (Keith side) The only downer being those incredibly bullheaded security guards that would not allow any plastic bottle inside so we had to leave all our drink behind at the gate. Excellent gig and party though with an awesome peaceful crowd.

And, not to forget Mick's salutation during the band introduction:-

"We like to welcome everybody here tonight on this field in the middle of nowhere really well."

Could anybody still name all of those inflatable giant figures that would appear later on (with which song?):

Jesus Christ
Elvis Presley
Lord Krishna
Marilyn Monroe

?

Yes, I was there, in the town I was born 1951. Unbelievable, a Stones-Show in Schüttorf, in the field of nowhere. A hot summer night.

100000. We booked a hotel 3 km away and after the show we are drinking our cold beer from the Minibar.

Now I live in Duisburg (Germany) and saw Gary Moore the first time last month. Gary wasn´t in Schüttorf.

Thank you Stones for the show in Schüttorf, my birth town.
