Hi

Just got it, so here's the review :

Who Breaks a Butterfly on a Wheel? - BBC Radio 2 Documentary “It was not the smell of burning wood."

Broadcast on BBC Radio 2 - 03 July,2007.
Presented by Bob Harris

Looking at the events and repercussions surrounding a highly publicised drug bust on a party held in 1967 at Redlands - Keith Richards' Sussex country home.
The story of the Rolling Stones' traumatic summer of 1967 is told in Who Breaks A Butterfly On A Wheel.
The programme – which takes its name from an article in The Times, written by its traditionally conservative editor William (now Lord) Rees-Mogg – looks at the events and repercussions surrounding a highly publicised drugs bust on a party held at Redlands, Keith Richards's Sussex country home.
William Rees-Mogg questioned the outcome of the court case in which Richards and Jagger were handed custodial sentences for first-time offences that were, according to Rees-Mogg, harsher than "any purely anonymous young man" would have received, due to their celebrity status.
The programme includes interviews with Lord Rees-Mogg and Andrew Loog Oldham, former manager of the Stones.
Bob Harris takes us back to the Rolling Stones' least favourite summer: 1967 saw Mick and Keith sentenced for possessing drugs. It's an enthralling retelling of one of rock's most famous tales and a decent slice of social history.

Synopsis
‘Forty years ago Rolling Stones Mick Jagger and Keith Richards were busted for drugs at Richards’ home in Sussex. The arrest received massive coverage. When the two were given custodial sentences, William Rees-Mogg, then editor of ‘The Times’, wrote a famous leader pointing out that the punishment was heavier than the crime merited and if unknown young men were similarly arraigned they would have got off lighter. He’s one of the interviewees here, as is Andrew Loog Oldham, the Stones manager at the time. Bob Harris presents and produces’.

I 've always liked Bob Harris since I watched the Old Grey Whistle Test interviews .Always cool and serious at the same time ,very professional too.

I am a Frenchie ,as Mick affectionately called them in the Old Grey Whistle Test in 1977 .
