The seventies covers projects was for Wooden Records which is now largely a thing of the past as Ronnie's stepson ran it. This is a solo album of new material for Shangri-La Entertainment and seems more of a commercial effort along the lines of SLIDE ON THIS.

Thanks for the information. New songs, now that'll be great! I love the "Slide On This" album. Here's hoping that Bernard Fowler, Charlie Watts and Ian McLagan are going to make appearances on the new one, and maybe Keith as well. The recording location in LA sadly rules out any Billy Wyman participance, doesn't it? I really love those folksy overtones that are present on "Slide On This" and "Not For Beginners".

Why doesn't he just do the entire album with Mac and Kenney? He can add bass himself. Both Mac and Woody have great singing voices.

there's a first time for everything, so i suppose an opinion that woody has a great singing voice was inevitable....

Well like what he does or not. Ronnie is the only Stone actually palying music these days. For that alone he should be commended.

I was in Manny's music in NYC on Tuesday and ran into Eddie Vedder he told me he was in Hawaii and did some work with Ronnie for the album. I have met him before and he is very cordial and in my opinion a good guy.

No news as yet on The Shangri-La web site....I guess any release is some way off.
I wonder why Solo Ronnie wasn't part of the UMG /Polydor deal?

so, to sum up:

More Good News:
- with Ian McLagan
- with Bernard Fowler (vocals and production)
- with Eddie Vedder

Any news on when it will be released, if Ronnie is planning a tour behind it and how the overall style of the album will be? Addicted, you seem to have good connections to Blondie/Bernard - can you tell us more? Really looking forward to this album!

Ekat's name will appear in the credits, and then she will dump him. Mark my words.
