Stripped CD question

Does the currently available Stripped CD still contain the multimedia bonus content or not?

I have one that does and one that doesn't have the multimedia thing. I guess it was only the first few editions.

I have the first edition with the multimedia sticker but I've never been able to play the video footage. Supposedly it only works on Windows 3.1 and early versions of Windows 95.

Yes, I could play it back then when Stripped was released on a PC with Windows 95. I can tell you: you don't miss much when you don't see it. I think the there was a patch to access it with newer operation systems but I got no idea if it works with XP or Vista. I will not try it either.

The same for the Voodoo Lounge CD ROM. I have the original here but can't play it anymore. And also with this one you don't miss anything not seeing it. It's just some "toys" from the earlier days of computers.

Yeah, I've seen the content, and it's nothing that's essential viewing. There's a live "Like A Rolling Stone" and some other stuff. The video quality isn't very good (remember, it's 1995 technology), so unless you're a obsessive diehard completist, don't bother. BTW, the vids are shown in Quicktime format.

Is there a dvd of the concert anywhere? I recorded it from TV and it was deleted by mistake.

Yep, there is one.
I downloaded this one with a torrent.
Here is the link.

Torrent information:

This is a reseed of another torrent I downloaded here at Hungercity. Loved the "Stripped" album and really enjoy this great Stones' video.
Info text does not indicate original seeder. Nothing in the original torrent has been altered.

Thanks to the original seeder.

Why get a second if you already have one?

If you ask this question it makes no sense to explain it. You would not understand it...

Which 'one' are you talking about!

Can it still be found? All the used Stripped's I've seen all have the multi-media garbage on them. I got it to work on something and then figure, well, it's not worth the time it takes for it to start working to watch/listen. Maybe IF it gets reissued it will possibly have a newer version of it on there - like a typical CD ROM that comes on some records nowadays that you can play video etc...no matter what year your computer is.

In the same situation. What a pure moment of magic is that album.

My Stripped CD has the order number: 0724384104023

I found out that there is another one with 0724384543822. Is that the one without the enhanced material? Or what is the difference? Can someone please enlighten me? Thank you.

You think they could make those numbers a lot shorter. Like the year and then, I dunno, 01 or 02.

My copy has the order number 0724384104023 too and that has the enhanced material (not that I've ever been able to watch it!).
Don't know about the other one though.
This Google search seems to indicate that it is similarly "enhanced":

Perhaps pressed for a different market?
Mine is a UK release.
