I have the feeling that ac / dc take their public for idiots. And, I believe that it lasts for some years. What your feeling ?

Well it's certainly not on ticket prices...or allowing people to stand at their shows.

...or giving their fans opportunities to get great seats without being ripped off

I think if they thought their fans were idiots they would have gone the Ozzy Route and tour every summer as part of a festival and done a 70 minute set. They are doing great now because they did not over expose themselves every year playing the same songs in different order each summer.

There was a period in the 1980's when they were out every other year and it got to the point where it was like "I just saw them last year" enough already.

Their fan club seems to be a good deal when it comes to ticketing. The band is generally fan friendly.

I may see AC/DC is a few days if I can get on a guest list. I'll see if they are still down to earth.

The only thing I can reproach to AC/DC is that they always playing the same fu**ing songs. And as they're getting old and their setlist's getting shorter, they are now playing ONLY those songs.

PLAY ROCK AND ROLL DAMNATION !!!!!

Sorry for my english ; I'm a french little boy (but I like it)

Talked to a freind who saw them last night in Cleveland, he said they played 1 hr 45 mins. 8:30 - 10:15

This was after a couple weeks off.

Said, performance was tired, Brian did not sound good. Crowd seemed bored after 3 songs.

Plenty of tickets for under $25 being sold outside.

This was from someone who is a fan.

I saw them last night in Cleveland, and i thought it was a good show, they played 18 songs and Angus Young had a huge guitar solo at the end of Let There Be Rock.

Heres what they played
1. Rock N’ Roll Train
2. Hell Ain’t A Bad Place To Be
3. Back In Black
4. Big Jack
5. Dirty Deeds Done Dirty Cheap
6. Thunderstruck
7. Black Ice
8. The Jack
9. Hells Bells
10. Shoot To Thrill
11. War Machine
12. Anything Goes
13. You Shook Me All Night Long
14. T.N.T.
15. Whole Lotta Rosie
16. Let There Be Rock
17. Highway To Hell (encore)
18. For Those About To Rock (We Salute You) (encore)

it seems to me they are keeping to the same set every show, but they did play 5 new songs.

Todays report: Band is no longer fan friendly meaning no longer approachable on the street, hotel lobby, etc. They used to be super cool with fans in that sense. They have changed. That is a report not from me, but from others who have crossed paths with them within the last 48 hours.

Load of shite. I can think of at least 20 folks (off the top of my head) that have met em and got stuff signed / pics taken during this tour already

Maybe they just don't like you or your mates ???

I myself met about 5 folks in NYC who had met em after the shopw and the band had stopped their van to sign stuff. Inc a woman and her young kids

AS ALWAYS

So what! Maybe they are a little more security conscience these days? If so, I cannot blame them. BTW, Happy 56th birthday Malcom!

Well it's kind of typical. The tour starts with great hype and reviews. Then after being out on the road for a while. Some negative reaction starts coming on. Kind of a "Bounce Factor" if you will. Yes they don't change the setlist. Angus does always take over the second half. Kind of a cookie cutter kind of show. But good fun at least once. Be interesting to see what the next leg in the US does?

I don't believe you.

I mean tickets for under 25$??? to the hottest show of the year???? The shows sold out in less than an hour??? I went to two of them and there were no extra tickets. NOT ONE.

Reviews have been universally positive other than your "friend".

I don't buy it... if you hadn't said that he said there were plenty of tickets for under 25$- in cleveland no less! one of their strongholds that they've been playing since the bon scott days!- I might have..but that just tells me someone is making shit up..

I've been to been to over a hundred shows of various bands and always buy my tickets in front of the arena. Without exception I have never had more trouble then the ac/dc show in Vancouver (Nov 28 I believe).

The show sold out in less then an hour and there was some kind of electronic ticket system. Seats were simply not available.

I had to bribe a scalper to find someone who had an electronic ticket pair and then pay that guy big money to walk into the show with him....

I ended up 7th row on the floor and it was worth every penny.

The only quibble is that its a short show 1 hour 50 min's. However it was a great set and they blew the house away.....

better to do a short shit hot set, than a laboured long one where everyone starts looking at their watches or going for a piss (see 'Miss You', 'Don't Stop' etc)

keep folks on their toes and leave before they get bored
